Finding Peace in this Challenging Time
I’m sheltering in place with my family. I’m glad I’m with them, and grateful for the opportunity to work from home. Here are some ideas that helped me find peace.

I’m working on being patient with myself and others.
I’m working on my awareness and only checking the news once per day.

Reducing Distraction while Working from Home
There is so much distraction around, from funny memes, to the news, etc. Even on good days, as a social media manager for several businesses I get pulled off into a funny video more than I like to admit.
Something that has helped me is the “Screentime “app on iPhone. I have my phone pretty much disabled except for phone call and texts until 12pm every day, making it my “sacred time”. For Androids check out “Digital Well Being” or “Focus Mode".
I also have been identifying the 3 “Most Important Tasks” before I end my day so I can start out the new day with a clear focus.

This group was created by my friend Alice Picchi to provide instructions, create masks, and share resources for sewing emergency face masks for the healthcare workers (HCW) on the frontlines of the COVID-19 virus. Any posts related to this purpose, such as sourcing materials, pick ups, drop offs, or helpful instruction are welcome. It's a local Crystal Lake-area group, but all are welcome.

A group created to laugh and tell jokes about anything and relieve anxiety.
I created this group to find people to go out dancing with. Now we share virtual dancing events, funny memes and songs that we are jamming out to at home.
